Job summary

Aurelia Metals Limited is seeking a Mining Engineer for Mid-Term Planning at Peak Mine, Cobar NSW. You will develop designs and schedules balancing production requirements with underground constraints, working with operations, geology, maintenance and ventilation teams to ensure plans are safe and achievable.

The role suits an engineer who enjoys the big picture and translating planning into operational outcomes underground, with rosters including 8/6 days 12 hours, and options for DIDO or FIFO.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a mining engineering planning role.
• Underground mine design and scheduling experience.
• Experience developing medium to long-term mine plans.
• Proficiency using Deswik CAD, Deswik UGDB and Deswik Sched.
• Strong understanding of underground mining methods and planning principles.
• Experience contributing to budgeting, forecasting and reserve planning activities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across Technical Services and Operations teams.
• Commercial awareness with a focus on safe, practical and efficient mining outcomes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
