Job summary

Concentis is supporting an underground mining operation in Townsville with an 8/6 roster. You will lead waste management, environmental compliance and site-based environmental activities, coordinating data, systems and reporting to support the Environmental Assurance System (EAS).

This hands-on, site-based role requires collaborating with operational teams to drive practical environmental outcomes and ensure compliance across the operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental management within mining.
• Underground mining experience is required.
• Strong capability in environmental assurance and reporting systems.
• Effective communicator who can work with site teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate environmental activities across the underground mining operation.
• Manage waste streams, including waste trench requirements and compliance.
• Support Environmental Assurance System (EAS) requirements and reporting.
• Monitor environmental compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Work with operational teams to implement environmental controls.
• Maintain environmental records, documentation and reporting.
• Support audits, inspections and environmental assurance activities.
