Job summary

Concentis is seeking an experienced WHSE lead for a major mining operation in Townsville, Australia. You will lead training, access and emergency response systems, collaborating with the WHSE Manager and service providers to embed effective plans and practices in the field.

You will audit, identify gaps, drive improvements, and provide visible safety leadership on a 14/7 roster, supporting high-risk environments and field crews.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of health and safety, training or emergency response experience.
• Experience in mining, resources or heavy industry sectors is required.
• Proven ability to develop and implement improvement plans in the field.

Responsibilities

• Lead training, site access and emergency response systems across the operation.
• Develop and conduct audits and monitor leading/lagging indicators.
• Develop plans to address identified deficiencies and trends.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement them on site.
• Review safety system data for accuracy and address issues.
• Maintain induction materials and integrate into induction software with attendance records.
