Job summary

Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Pty Ltd is seeking a proactive Mining Engineer to join the Technical Services team. You will contribute to mine planning, scheduling, ventilation, backfill and production planning to support targets and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will mentor other engineers and help develop both short-term and long-term mine schedules while ensuring safe and efficient operations across a diverse underground operation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Underground hard rock mining experience.
• Strong skills in mine planning, scheduling, production, ventilation or backfill.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Optimize ore extraction through technical and financial planning within constraints.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and promote safe work practices.
• Complete mine design work for Stope Notes and Panel Notes.
• Produce and guide weekly operational plans.
• Support short- to mid-term objectives while maintaining long-term planning.
