Job summary

MMG Rosebery in Tasmania invites a Mine Planning Engineer to join the Technical Services team. You will develop short-term mine plans, optimize schedules and support safe underground operations.

The role requires a degree in Mining Engineering, at least 2 years underground mining experience, and hands-on use of Deswik. You will collaborate across operations, apply ventilation knowledge, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering or a similar discipline.
• Minimum 2 years' underground mining experience.
• Experience with Deswik and underground mining methods.
• Knowledge of ventilation and drill and blast practices.
• Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate short-term mine plans and schedules.
• Optimise mining sequences and stope designs to improve performance.
• Prepare stope notes and provide technical support to operations.
• Work closely with operational and technical teams to drive continuous improvement.
