Job summary

MMG Rosebery is seeking an experienced Senior Long-Term Planning Engineer based at our Melbourne Head Office to develop strategic mine plans for the Rosebery operation. You will lead life-of-mine plans, designs and schedules, and provide strategic advice across technical and operational teams.

The role involves working with underground mining specialists, analysing opportunities, and guiding junior engineers to optimise value while ensuring safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Underground mining engineer with long-term planning experience.
• Experience in life-of-mine / life-of-asset planning.
• Experience in mine optimisation and economic evaluation.
• Proficiency in mine planning and scheduling software.
• Australian Mine Manager’s qualification or progress toward it preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead life-of-mine plans, designs and schedules.
• Provide strategic advice across technical and operational teams.
• Evaluate future mining opportunities and improve mine value.
• Guide other mining engineers within the team.
