Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking an Engineer: Mine Infrastructure for the St Ives operation in Australia. This hands‑on role focuses on planning and designing underground infrastructure to enable safe, efficient gold extraction.

You will report to the Senior Engineer: Mine Projects and coordinate with the Fixed Plant team to align priorities and timelines. The successful candidate will own the infrastructure schedule, manage costs, and communicate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Underground mining experience and qualifications.
• Experience with mine planning and design processes.
• Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and produce clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Mine planning design work, level/area extraction plans, three‑month schedule and infrastructure requirements.
• Design and optimise underground mine infrastructure to support the Life‑of‑Mine strategy.
• Competency in underground ventilation and statutory requirements; act as Ventilation Officer or Deputy.
• Manage pastefill activities and liaise with Pastefill Crew and Foreman.
• Project and contractor management for infrastructure projects.
