Job summary

Victory Minerals in Ballarat, Victoria, is seeking a Mine Engineer to support the mining team in developing and producing from designated ore blocks. The role combines technical design and operations support, including mine scheduling and design, with a strong safety focus.

You will work with the Mine Foreman and Geology team, develop mining methods, assist with weekly plans, coordinate consultants, and contribute to ventilation and production delivery, while maintaining safety standards and

Qualifications

• Degree in Mining Engineering required.
• Underground mining experience minimum 2 years.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with standard office software.
• Valid Manual C-Class driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining leadership safety standards within the Mine Operations Team.
• Ensuring mining standards are met.
• Establishing and maintaining a proactive safety culture.
• Develop and execute mining methods for upcoming ore production, in conjunction with the Mine Foreman and Geology team.
• Assist with the preparation weekly plan by the Mining Foreman.
• Mine Design for development and production.
• Coordinate consultants on mine design.
• Assist with monthly ventilation.
• Collaboration with consultants within the mining department.
• Direct meetings, reviews and interaction with Mining crews underground to ensure smooth delivery of development metres and production.
