Job summary

Malabar Resources Ltd's Maxwell Underground Mine in the Hunter Valley invites applications from experienced underground mechanical tradespeople to join our Longwall and Development Teams. You will install, maintain and operate underground mining equipment, working safely in a high-pressure, hands-on environment.

To succeed you should have at least 2 years in underground coal mining, a certificate of proficiency in a mechanical trade, and a proven ability to troubleshoot faults while maintaining

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in underground coal mining.
• Certificate of proficiency in a mechanical trade.
• Knowledge of underground mining equipment and machinery.
• Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
• Able to work in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and operate underground mining equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate with team to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
