Maxwell Underground Mine, owned by Malabar Resources Ltd, has commenced operations in Hunter Valley with production projected of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum. We seek Experienced Underground Longwall/Development Operators to join our team and contribute to a safer, more productive operation.

Ideal candidates will have strong underground coal mining experience, longwall or continuous miner experience, and a commitment to safety.

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Underground Longwall Coal Mining.
• Current competency in the operation of plant or equipment in underground coal mining.
• Proven track record of safely working in an underground mining environment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in coal mining.

• Operate underground mining equipment including continuous miners, roof bolters, shuttle cars, and load-haul-dump (LHD) machines.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor and manage the mining process to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly and efficiently.

The Maxwell Underground Mine, owned by Malabar Resources Ltd has commenced operations at their Hunter Valley site, with production projected of up to 8 million tonnes of coal per annum. With a long life, the underground mine targets high quality coal, with the majority being metallurgical coal.

ABOUT THE ROLE

To support our ongoing growth, we currently have a number of opportunities for Experienced Underground Longwall and/or Development Operators to join our Team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in underground coal mining, specifically longwall and/or continuous miner experience, a keen attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. You will be responsible for operating various types of underground mining equipment, ensuring efficient and safe production.

Key responsibilities:

ABOUT YOU

Successful applicants will have:

• Current competency in the operation of plant or equipment in underground coal mining.
• Proven track record of safely working in an underground mining environment.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in coal mining.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and handle heavy equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experienced continuous miner operators will be highly regarded.

Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Order 45 medical, including drug and alcohol.
