Job summary

Maxwell Recruitment & Training is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for workshop-based roles in Rutherford, NSW. This position focuses on the repair, servicing and overhaul of underground mining machinery with several upcoming projects and an immediate requirement for skilled tradespeople.

Responsibilities include overhauls, fault diagnosis, disassembly/reassembly and thorough testing. The successful applicant will have a trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, strong diagnostic

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent – essential.
• Experience in heavy equipment overhauls, repairs and assembly – highly regarded.
• Basic hydraulic knowledge and experience – desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical overhauls, repairs and maintenance on underground monorails and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair and reassemble mechanical components.
• Complete testing and inspections to ensure equipment is operating correctly.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections and component replacements.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a high standard of workmanship.
