Job summary

Argo Coal Management Pty Ltd seeks a capable Mechanical Coordinator for underground coal operations at Ironbark No 1, Queensland. You’ll lead mechanical maintenance planning, allocate people and equipment, and set priorities to keep safety, production and costs on track.

You will drive reliable equipment performance, partner with frontline teams, and foster a continuous improvement culture, bringing at least 2 years of underground coal experience and strong leadership to the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ underground coal mining Mechanical Coordinator experience.
• Mechanical Trade qualification or Engineering degree.
• Current Supervisor qualifications (G1, G8, G9 and G2).
• Strong safety commitment and ability to promote safety culture.
• Proven leadership to develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate mechanical maintenance across operations.
• Lead allocation of people and equipment; set priorities.
• Drive timely maintenance delivery to ensure safety, reliability, and productivity.
• Deliver maintenance activities meeting safety, production, budget and environmental objectives.
• Maximise asset reliability and operational performance.
• Collaborate with frontline teams to improve equipment reliability and drive continuous improvement.
