Job summary

Anglo American Steelmaking Coal is hiring for a full‑time underground mechanical maintenance role. You will perform maintenance on a wide range of underground mining equipment to support safe and reliable operations, contributing to production targets.

The role requires Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent, current Standard 11, and proven underground coal mine experience. On‑site roster is 7 on/7 off with DIDO, FIFO or residential options and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering: Mechanical or equivalent.
• Current Standard 11 (Surface & Underground).
• Proven mechanical maintenance experience within an underground coal mine.
• Experience delivering best practice mechanical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate to ensure all work is completed in full compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements.
• Perform mechanical maintenance on a wide range of underground mining equipment to support safe and reliable operations.
• Contribute to achieving production targets by delivering high‑quality maintenance tasks and promoting a strong, safety‑focused team environment.
