Job summary

Catalyst Metals is seeking experienced Underground Loader Operators and Bogger Operators for 8:6/7:7 FIFO rosters from Perth to support the Plutonic Gold Mine operation in WA. You’ll operate Sandvik LHDs with RTC, move ore safely, and contribute to cycle-time improvements in challenging underground conditions.

Qualifications

• Experienced operating underground boggers (LHDs) with Remote Tele-Remote Control (RTC) systems.
• Experience with Sandvik LH514 and LH517 loaders in underground mining environments.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate tele-remote Sandvik loaders safely and efficiently within underground production areas.
• Bog production stopes and transfer material to stockpiles and ore passes.
• Load underground haul trucks in accordance with production requirements.
• Maintain underground roadways and working areas to site standards.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and report equipment defects or maintenance requirements.
• Comply with site procedures, safety standards and legislative requirements.
• Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Truck Operators and Mine Control to achieve production targets.
• Contribute to a safe, productive and positive underground team culture.

About the Role

As we build toward 2.2 million tonnes per annum, efficient load and haul performance is central to achieving production targets. Our Bogger Operators are critical to keeping headings clean, stopes productive and ore moving safely to surface.

Operating modern Sandvik LHDs equipped with RTC systems, you’ll work across development and production areas, maintaining steady material movement and supporting cycle time optimisation.

This is a role for operators who understand production flow and take ownership of tonnes moved safely and efficiently.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experienced in operating underground boggers (LHDs) equipped with Remote Tele-Remote Control (RTC) systems
• Experienced operating Sandvik LH514 and LH517 loaders in underground mining environments
• Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proven ability to work effectively within underground production environments
• Current WA C-Class Driver's Licence
• Current Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
• National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
