Job summary

Catalyst Metals is seeking a skilled Jumbo Operator to work underground in Western Australia, operating modern twin-boom development jumbos and delivering accurate drill patterns that support ground stability and production momentum. You’ll work with technical services to align patterns with design and maintain high safety standards on site.

The role requires proven underground jumbo experience, DGSC and a strong commitment to precise drilling practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating twin-boom underground jumbos.
• Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC) is required.
• Senior First Aid certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
• Ability to follow procedures and work to plan.

About the Role

As we progress toward 2.2 million tonnes per annum, development metres are critical to unlocking new mining fronts and maintaining production momentum. Our Jumbo Operators play a key role in safely delivering quality development that underpins the future of the operation.

You’ll be operating modern Sandvik development drills in competent ground conditions, working closely with technical services to execute accurate drill patterns that directly influence advance rates and ground stability.

This is a role for operators who take pride in precision, clean drilling practices and delivering metres safely and consistently.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Strong commitment to safety and team-based work


• Proven experience operating twin-boom jumbo underground


• Strong understanding of drill accuracy and ground support standards


• Ability to read and interpret development plans


• Competent in marking/checking headings to survey requirements.


• Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC).


• Senior First Aida certificate (desirable).


• Awareness of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.


• Ability to follow procedures and work to plan


• Current Manual C-Class Driver’s Licence
