Job summary

MCA Engineering seeks an Underground Leading Hand, Boilermaker & Servicemen / Timbermen to join our crews for construction, installation and maintenance across Australia. You’ll work with our underground teams delivering critical works on-site.

This role requires underground experience, relevant trade qualifications, and the ability to operate on a 2:2 FIFO roster, including day and night shifts. High‑risk licences are highly regarded, with safety always a priority.

Qualifications

• Underground experience is essential.
• Trade qualifications for Leading Hand and Boilermaker positions.
• Experience in underground services or timbering for Serviceman/Timberman roles.
• Strong safety focus and ability to work within a team.
• Available for FIFO on a 2:2 roster including day and night shifts.
• High-risk work licences (rigging, non-slewing mobile crane, forklift) highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews and coordinate daily underground work activities.
• Fabrication, welding and structural installation work.
• Install and maintain underground services and infrastructure.
• Undertake timbering and general underground construction tasks.
• Assist with materials handling and equipment installation.
• Follow site safety procedures and maintain quality workmanship.
