Job summary

Anglo American Australia is seeking an experienced Underground Gas Drainage Coordinator for Grosvenor Mine in Moranbah. You will plan, design, coordinate and monitor underground in-seam gas drainage activities, working with Ventilation, Mine Planning and drilling contractors to ensure safe delivery ahead of development and longwall mining.

The role requires strong underground coal experience, knowledge of gas drainage design and rigorous planning, monitoring and compliance.

Qualifications

• Underground gas drainage experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the safe planning and delivery of underground gas drainage activities.
• Design underground in-seam drilling patterns aligned with the mine plan and gas reservoir conditions.
• Develop borehole designs and maintain accurate flight plans.
• Review gas content, permeability and seam conditions to optimise drilling programs.
• Coordinate drilling schedules to ensure drainage work precedes development and longwall mining.
• Monitor borehole performance and gas drainage effectiveness.
