Job summary

Argo Natural Resources is seeking a Gas Drainage Engineer to join our Technical Services team. You will manage and optimise gas drainage systems across Carborough Downs and Ironbark No.

1 underground operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and delivering practical gas management solutions. Qualifications

• Minimum 1 years’ experience in underground coal operations, ideally in a gas drainage role.
• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• G189 (S123) & G2 competencies.
• RIIMC603A – Establish and Maintain the Gas Drainage Management Plan (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of underground coal mining gas drainage systems and relevant legislative requirements.
• Experience managing gas drainage activities and underground drilling programs.
• Ability to manage contractors to deliver safe, timely and cost-effective outcomes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on system performance and continuous improvement.
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and operational teams.
