Job summary

Barminco is seeking a Magazine Keeper to support our underground mining operations across Australia, with sites throughout Western Australia. You will be responsible for the safe storage, handling and distribution of explosives and blasting materials in licensed magazines, complying with safety regulations and inventory controls.

Ideal candidates have previous mining experience and hold an explosives security clearance and a Dangerous Goods card.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within the mining industry.
• Explosives security clearance and Dangerous goods card.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and secure explosives and detonators in licensed magazines.
• Issue explosives to authorised personnel with accurate records.
• Conduct routine magazine inspections for safety and compliance.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate orders for blasting operations.
• Maintain documentation including usage, stock reconciliation, and regulatory reporting.
• Work with shotfirers and mining team to support safe blasting operations.
