Job summary

Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Pty Ltd is seeking a Magazine Keeper with mining experience to manage UG magazines, record explosives usage, and control access to magazines. The role reports to the UG project supervisor and forms part of a team delivering safety and efficiency in underground operations.

The position is on a 7 days on / 7 days off dayshift roster. Duties include daily inspections, record-keeping, handling explosives, and supporting ground support stocktakes in a dynamic

Responsibilities

• Accurately maintain magazine records.
• Assist unloading explosives delivery truck.
• Restocking UG Store and completing ground support stocktakes.
• Handle and transport explosives in accordance with Bluestone policies.
• Deliver explosives to charge up machine.
• Assist charge up operators stock Normets with explosives.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor such as hot seating trucks and assisting electricians.

About The Role

We are looking for a Magazine Keeper with an understanding of safe work practices preferably with mining experience to join the Bluestone team. This role will be responsible for managing & maintaining all UG magazines, accurately recording explosive usage and controlling access to ensure that the magazines are kept secure.

The position will be reporting to the UG project supervisor and be part of a team who are focused on working together with the technical mining team to ensure statutory requirements are met.

This position is being offered is on 7 days on 7 days off dayshift only roster.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have the ability to proactively enhance your skills and competency levels through further training as required for the role and have the opportunity to train in UG haul truck and IT operation to assist service crew and electricians, whilst maintaining safety as a priority and actively contributing to making the workplace safer. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills which allows you to build relationships across departments and to communicate at all levels.

You must have or be willing to obtain all relevant legal licences & qualifications associated with this position.

Strong interpersonal communication and relationship skills are a must allowing you to possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to engage and build relationships within your team and various departments within the company.
