Job summary

Peabody Energy is seeking experienced ERZ Controllers for Centurion Mine, located about 160 kilometres west of Mackay in Queensland. You will lead underground crews, ensure safe and efficient mining, and drive production targets while maintaining compliance with site standards.

This frontline leadership role offers opportunities across Outbye, Development and Longwall, with a strong safety culture and career development within one of Australia’s newest underground longwall operations.

Qualifications

• Underground coal mining supervisory experience.
• Strong safety and risk management focus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Commitment to safety, integrity and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform statutory and compliance inspections.
• Ensure mining processes and equipment are operated safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities.
• Lead underground crews and drive operational performance.
• Promote proactive hazard identification and continuous improvement.
• Foster a high-performing safety culture.
