Job summary

Foresight Energy in Australia is seeking a maintenance technician with experience underground. Responsibilities include servicing face equipment, reading electrical prints, and troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems to support mining operations.

Candidates should have 2+ years underground experience and hold MSHA Electrical Card and Illinois Electrical Certificate. An attractive hourly wage plus bonuses is offered.

Qualifications

• Underground experience is required (2+ years).
• MSHA Electrical Card and Illinois Electrical Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Review permissibility requirements.
• Splice and troubleshoot underground cables.
• Service all face equipment to fit in mining cycle.
• Read electrical prints for equipment.
• Maintain CO monitor and communications.
• Troubleshoot and install leaky feeder and fiber optic cables.
• Fire suppression testing.
• Understand and service longwall mining equipment.
