Job summary

Newmont is seeking a Supervisor, Project Electrical Engineering to lead underground electrical infrastructure projects at Cadia Operations, near Orange, NSW. You will manage delivery from concept through handover, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and budget alignment.

The role demands a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, extensive underground mining project experience, and strong knowledge of HV/LV systems, protection, PLCs and instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering recognized by Engineers Australia.
• Considerable experience delivering electrical infrastructure projects within underground mining environments.
• Strong knowledge of HV/LV power systems, protection, PLCs, instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience managing contractors, consultants and vendors through the project lifecycle.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP, SAP and MS Project plus stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of underground electrical infrastructure projects from planning to handover.
• Develop project scopes, technical specs and design packages; support procurement and contractor engagement.
• Drive safe project execution via risk assessments, change management and field inspections.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, teams, contractors and specialists to achieve project outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering and delivery processes.
