Job summary

Anglo American Steelmaking Coal is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician Electrical for an underground coal operation in Queensland. You will maintain and improve electrical infrastructure, diagnose faults, and support gas monitoring systems to ensure safe, continuous production.

Reporting to the Electrical Coordinator - Outbye, you will perform planned maintenance, comply with mining regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while enjoying a 7 on, 7 off roster and

Qualifications

• Underground coal mining maintenance experience.
• Electrical trade qualification and license.
• EEHA and HV competencies desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and fault-find electrical infrastructure and equipment.
• Conduct planned preventative maintenance and statutory inspections.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Maintain gas monitoring and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Statutory testing and maintenance of methane monitoring systems and intrinsically safe equipment.
• Support compliance with Coal Mining legislation and electrical regulations.
• Ensure reliability of gas monitoring, comms and control systems.
• Complete maintenance records, statutory documentation and defect reporting.
