Job summary

Westfill Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Underground Drill Fitter to join our maintenance team. You will report to the Maintenance Superintendent and carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on underground drill rigs and related equipment.

Key requirements include a minimum of 3 years in underground drilling maintenance and hands-on experience with Sandvik rigs (DD421, DL421, DL431, DD422i). The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and mentoring for apprentices in remote site environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in underground drilling maintenance.
• Experience with Sandvik DD421, DL421, DL431, DD422i.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and adaptability to remote environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, troubleshooting, and major repairs on underground drill rigs and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Provide technical support and mentoring to apprentices and tradespeople as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, services, and parts usage.
• Work effectively in a team and contribute to a strong safety culture.
