Job summary

PYBAR Mining Services is seeking a Development Supervisor for the Jericho project to lead underground development crews and work closely with site management to deliver safe, efficient development works.

You will drive performance, uphold safety, and engage with stakeholders across the operation, supported by on-site flights, accommodation and meals provided at site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Shift Supervisor or similar position (Essential).
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Underground Hardrock mining (Essential).
• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities.
• Current First Aid Certificate (Advantageous).
• Queensland Explosives Security Clearance.
• QMS123/G189.

• Promote positive safety behaviours and help build a culture of accountability and safety first thinking.
• Use digital tools (e.g. INX) to record and monitor tasks.

Job description

PYBAR – a Thiess Company, is a mining services provider with core competencies in underground hard rock mining. We deliver a range of projects, from large established mining operations to greenfield developments across Australia. The services we provide range from mine development, production, cable bolting and drilling, raise boring, shotcreting and haulage fleet.

THE OPPORTUNITY

PYBAR is currently seeking a highly experienced and driven Development Supervisor to join our Jericho project. Multiple points of hire will be considered across the east coast, with flights included, and accommodation and meals provided at site.

As a Development Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for leading crews to deliver safe and efficient development works. Working closely with site management and technical teams, you’ll ensure compliance with operational plans, drive performance, and maintain a strong focus on safety, teamwork and continuous improvement underground.
