Job summary

PYBAR Mining Services Pty is seeking an experienced Underground Shift Supervisor for the Hillgrove Project based in Armidale, NSW. The role operates on a 2:2 roster and involves leading underground crews to deliver safe development works while complying with plans and driving performance.

You will collaborate with site management and technical teams to uphold safety, quality, and continuous improvement, leveraging digital tools to monitor tasks and report progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Shift Supervisor or similar position.
• NSW Underground Supervisor's Practicing Certificate.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Underground Hardrock mining.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities.
• Current First Aid Certificate (Advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day supervision and leadership to the underground team.
• Monitor and supervise underground mining activities.
• Promote positive safety behaviours and help build a culture of accountability, ownership and safety first thinking across the site.
• Use digital tools (e.g. INX) to record and monitor tasks.
• Communicate effectively with PYBAR team members and relevant stakeholders.

The services we provide range from mine development, production, cable bolting and drilling, raise boring, shotcreting and haulage fleet.

THE OPPORTUNITY

PYBAR is currently seeking an experienced and driven Shift Supervisor to join our new Hillgrove Project.

The position will be based in Armidale, NSW, working on a 2:2 roster. Multiple points of hire will be considered across Eastern and Southern Australia.

As an Underground Shift Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for leading crews to deliver safe and efficient development works. Working closely with site management and technical teams, you’ll ensure compliance with operational plans, drive performance, and maintain a strong focus on safety, teamwork and continuous improvement underground.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Shift Supervisor or similar position (Essential)
• NSW Underground Supervisor's Practicing Certificate (Essential)
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Underground Hardrock mining (Essential)
• Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities.
• Current First Aid Certificate (Advantageous)
