Job summary

Resources Safety and Health Queensland is seeking an Inspector of Mines to educate, inform and regulate mine safety at Queensland coal mines, with a focus on underground operations. The role will provide technical advice to industry, government and the community, ensuring compliance and best practices in safety and health standards.

Essential qualifications include a Queensland Third Class Certificate of Competency, a Second Class Certificate, and ideally a First Class Mine Managers Certificate

Qualifications

• Essential certificates required for underground coal mine operations.
• Senior technical or operational experience in underground coal mines is highly regarded.
• Recognition or qualifictions by Queensland Board of Examiners is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Educate, inform and regulate mine safety at Queensland coal mines.
• Provide technical advice on mining safety and health matters to industry, the government, and the community, especially for underground coal mine operations.
