Job summary

Fitzroy Mining Operations seeks an experienced Underground Coal Mine Electrician for Carborough Downs, located near Moranbah, Queensland. You will join a BP underground crew, work on underground Bord and Pillar operations, and contribute to safe, efficient mine electricity maintenance.

Role requires a Queensland Electrical License and current Standard 11 Surface and Underground, plus valid tickets. DIDO/FIFO with camp accommodation and local housing options may be available.

Qualifications

• Experience as an underground coal mine electrician.
• Strong emphasis on safety and crew welfare.

Underground Coal Mine Electricians - Bord and Pillar

Carborough Downs underground Bord and Pillar mine is located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, approximately 30km north-east of Moranbah and 160km from Mackay and forms part of the broader Argo Complex. This integrated mining complex includes the Ironbark Longwall Mine and Broadlea Open Cut, as well as a centralised Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP), where collaboration between our sites and teams is key to delivering safe and efficient outcomes.

WHAT CAN YOU BRING?

• Demonstrated recent experience working as an underground coal mine Electrician;
• A Queensland Electrical License;
• A strong commitment to safety — looking after yourself and your crew comes first!
• A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to get stuck in.
• Hold a current drivers licence;
• Relevant Trade Qualifications and Tickets.
• Hold a current Standard 11 Surface and Underground.
