Job summary

Otraco International seeks an experienced OTR Tyre Technician for Kalgoorlie WA. You will fit tyres on CAT fleet machines, mainly 793s, in a safety‑driven team.

FIFO from Perth and residential options are available, with a 7:7 roster and strong in‑house training. Applicants should have at least two years' earthmover tyre fitting on mine sites, hold a Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy (AUR21916/AUR21920), and possess a current LF forklift licence plus an HR licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of earthmover tyre fitting on mine sites.
• Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy (AUR21916/AUR21920) is essential.
• Current LF forklift licence and HR driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Fit tyres on a range of machinery, predominantly CAT 793s, in a team environment.
• Adhere to site safety procedures and maintain high safety standards.
• Operate autonomously with a proactive approach to tyre maintenance.

Job description

In Western Australia alone we have a presence on over 30 mining operations, with long term contracts in place with some of the mining industry’s biggest producers. Additionally, with some of the safest procedures in the industry, and an in-house Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we ensure our staff have ongoing industry training and work in the safest of environments.

We are currently seeking Experienced OTR Tyre Technicians for our KCGM operation in Kalgoorlie WA.

The role

Working in a team environment on a range of machinery, predominately CAT fleet 793’s

About you

• Preferably a minimum of 2 years of Earthmover tyre fitting experience on mine sites
• Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical Tyre Fitting Heavy; AUR21916/AUR21920 (essential)
• A current WorkSafe forklift (LF) licence
• Must have HR Drivers Licence
• Possess a high level of initiative and the ability to work well under pressure
• An understanding that safety is paramount, with a high attention to detail to abide by site safety procedures
• Ability to work autonomously
