Job summary

Green by Nature seeks an experienced Greenskeeper / Sports Turf Technician to join our Canberra team, maintaining an iconic oval and a prestigious education facility. This is your chance to own high-profile sports turf surfaces and deliver exceptional playing conditions year-round.

You will work across rugby, cricket and multi-purpose fields, ensuring surfaces look and perform at their best. You’ll report to the Site Manager and contribute to maintenance, renovation and water management programs.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management is required.
• Experience as Greenskeeper / Sports Turf Technician / Turf Maintenance Technician.
• Strong knowledge of turf species, nutrition and turf management practices.
• Experience operating turf maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Valid driver’s licence is required.
• White Card is required.
• Working With Vulnerable People registration or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with cricket wicket preparation is highly regarded.

About the Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance, presentation and performance of sports turf surfaces and surrounding grounds.

Your responsibilities will include:

About You

We're looking for someone who takes pride in producing outstanding turf surfaces and enjoys working in a hands‑on outdoor environment.

You will ideally have:

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management
• Experience as a Greenskeeper, Sports Turf Technician or Turf Maintenance Technician
• Strong knowledge of turf species, nutrition and turf management practices
• Experience operating turf maintenance equipment and machinery
• A current driver's licence
• White Card
• Working With Vulnerable People registration (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience with cricket wicket preparation will be highly regarded
