Job summary

Green by Nature in Canberra is seeking a hands-on Greenskeeper / Sports Turf Technician to maintain an iconic oval and a leading education facility. You’ll manage mowing, irrigation and pest management to deliver top playing surfaces year-round.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management, have turf maintenance experience, a current driver’s license and White Card; cricket wicket prep experience is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management required.
• Experience as Greenskeeper or Sports Turf Technician.
• Strong knowledge of turf species, nutrition and management practices.
• Experience operating turf maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Current driver’s licence.
• White Card.
• Working With Vulnerable People registration or willingness to obtain.
• Cricket wicket preparation experience highly regarded.

• Assisting with seasonal renovation and recovery programs.

Green by Nature is seeking an experienced Greenskeeper / Sports Turf Technician to join our Canberra team, maintaining an iconic oval along with a prestigious education facility. About the Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance, presentation and performance of sports turf surfaces and surrounding grounds.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Mowing, aeration, topdressing, fertilising and general turf maintenance

• Operating and maintaining specialised turf machinery and equipment

About You

We're looking for someone who takes pride in producing outstanding turf surfaces and enjoys working in a hands-on outdoor environment.

You will ideally have:

• Certificate III in Sports Turf Management
• Experience as a Greenskeeper, Sports Turf Technician or Turf Maintenance Technician
• Strong knowledge of turf species, nutrition and turf management practices
• Experience operating turf maintenance equipment and machinery
• A current driver's licence
• White Card
• Working With Vulnerable People registration (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience with cricket wicket preparation will be highly regarded
