PGTEK is seeking a Datacenter Technician & Systems Administrator to support mission‑critical IT infrastructure in Australia. The role combines hardware troubleshooting, system administration, and data center operations, with an active TS/SCI clearance required.

The candidate will work with legacy hardware (e.g., DEC Alpha) and modern IT infrastructure, supporting Linux-based OS as well as environments like OpenVMS and HP‑UX.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing hardware from leading manufacturers.
• Experience with legacy and modern IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware from multiple vendors.
• Perform operations and maintenance tasks for IT systems and storage.
• Work with legacy and modern infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Support Linux-based open-source OS and legacy environments (OpenVMS, HP-UX).
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement best practices in data center operations.
• Work independently and as part of a team to address technical challenges.
