Job summary

Mo’s Mobiles is seeking a Sales Assistant to greet customers, understand needs, and guide them to the right mobile solutions. You will train in CARE, our four-step customer conversation approach, and contribute to a high-performing, compliant store environment.

The role emphasizes genuine customer service, product knowledge, and accurate sales processing, with a schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays. Competitive hourly pay and ongoing in-store coaching are provided.

About the role

As a Sales Assistant you are the first person our customers meet and the face of our store. You are not there to push products — you are there to be a Trusted Advisor who understands what each customer needs and matches them to the right solution. We will train you in CARE, our four-step approach to every customer conversation.

In this role you will:

• CONNECT — welcome every customer within 30 seconds and make them feel genuinely valued

• ASSESS — ask great questions to understand the customer’s device, plan, household and how they really use their service

• RECOMMEND — confidently recommend the right plan, handset, accessories and protection, and be upfront about price and term

• ENGAGE — complete the sale properly so the customer walks out working, with accurate notes and paperwork every time

• Sell mobile phone services, handsets, accessories, protection and prepaid recharge

• Explain product features, plans, pricing and contract terms clearly and honestly

• Complete point-of-sale transactions and the associated administration accurately

• Record accurate activity notes for every customer interaction

• Follow all Mo’s Mobiles, TPG/Vodafone and industry compliance requirements, including identity verification and the Telecommunications Consumer Protections (TCP) Code

• Keep the store presentation-ready, replenish stock and support stocktake

• Open and close the store, secure cash and reconcile EFT

• Work safely and follow WH&S procedures at all times

About you

We hire for attitude and train for skill. You will be a great fit if you have:

• A genuine interest in people — you would rather solve a problem than close a deal

• Confidence using computers and point-of-sale systems

• Availability across a retail roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

• Previous retail or customer service experience (highly desirable, not essential)

• Hourly rate of $28.89 – $36.81 depending on employment type and experience
