Job summary

Dahlsens Building Centres Pty is seeking a practical, reliable candidate to join the Truss Plant team in Winnellie. You will cut and assemble timber frames and roof trusses for local builders, using timber cutting machinery and various hand and power tools, while maintaining safe work practices.

Experience with jig setting or truss fabrication is a bonus but not essential; a willingness to learn and safety focus are key. A manual vehicle licence is required; forklift licence is a bonus.

• Handling stock and materials safely to prevent damage.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a practical, reliable person to join our Truss Plant team in Winnellie. You’ll help cut and assemble timber frames and roof trusses for local builders, using timber cutting machinery, power tools and good safe work practice every day.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Experience with jig setting or truss fabrication is a bonus, but not essential. If you’re keen, safety-focused and willing to learn, we’d like to hear from you.

• Cutting and assembling frames and roof trusses
• Using hand tools, power tools and timber cutting machinery
• Reading job details, schematics and assembly instructions
• Picking timber orders and helping with general yard work
• Keeping jobs moving safely, accurately and on time
• Handling stock and materials safely to avoid injury or damage
