Job summary

Dahlsens Building Centres Pty is seeking a practical, reliable candidate to join the Truss Plant team in Winnellie. You will cut and assemble timber frames and roof trusses for local builders, using timber cutting machinery and various hand and power tools, while maintaining safe work practices.

Experience with jig setting or truss fabrication is a bonus but not essential; a willingness to learn and safety focus are key. A manual vehicle licence is required; forklift licence is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and assembling frames and roof trusses.
• Using hand tools, power tools and timber cutting machinery.
• Reading job details, schematics and assembly instructions.
• Picking timber orders and assisting with yard work.
• Keeping work moving safely, accurately and on time.
• Handling stock and materials safely to prevent damage.
