Job summary

Dahlsens Family Group of Companies in Townsville is seeking a reliable Truss & Frame Production Worker to join our busy factory team. You will cut and assemble wall frames and roof trusses, build pre-fab frames to plans, and help with yard tasks while upholding safety and quality.

No prior truss experience is required, but a safety mindset, physical fitness, and a willingness to learn are essential. A car licence is required, and forklift licence is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Able to safely use basic hand and power tools.
• Physically fit and able to lift/move materials.
• Work safely and look out for others.
• Factory/workshop experience helpful but not essential.
• Car licence required.
• Forklift licence an added bonus.

Responsibilities

• Cut and assemble wall frames and roof trusses
• Build pre-fab frames and trusses to plans and specs
• Pick timber orders and help with general yard work
• Keep an eye on stock needs and help prioritise jobs
• Work to production timeframes without compromising safety/quality
• Read and follow product drawings and assembly instructions
• Handle materials safely to avoid injuries and damage

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a reliable, safety minded Truss & Frame Production Worker to join our busy team in Townsville. You'll be hands-on in our factory, building roof trusses and wall frames and helping us get quality products out to our local builders.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

Truss experience is a big plus, but it’s not a must. What matters most is that you show up, work safely, and are willing to learn.

• Cut and assemble wall frames and roof trusses
• Build pre-fab frames and trusses to our plans and specs
• Pick timber orders and help out with general yard work
• Keep an eye on stock needs and help prioritise jobs
• Work to production timeframes without cutting corners on safety or quality
• Read and follow product drawings and assembly instructions
• Handle materials safely to avoid injuries and product damage

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• You can safely use basic hand and power tools (or you're keen to learn) and you look after the gear
• You're physically fit and can safely lift and move materials
• You work safely and look out for the people around you
• Factory or workshop experience is helpful, but not essential
• Car license
• Forklift licence (LF) is a bonus
