Job summary

McCosker is seeking an experienced Truck Mechanic in Gladstone to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of trucks, with potential to work across heavy earthmoving gear and related equipment. The role offers a Monday–Friday roster and steady, long-term work with growth opportunities.

Applicants should hold a C class licence (HR or above desirable) and demonstrate a strong safety ethos, precision in workmanship, and the ability to work autonomously in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Truck Mechanic with a track record of quality workmanship.
• Current C class Queensland licence; HR licence or above desirable.
• Knowledge of Mack, Isuzu and Hino trucks, floats and trailers.
• Ability to identify defects and communicate them clearly.
• Safe work practices and ability to pass pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair a diverse fleet of small to medium trucks in Gladstone.
• Potential to expand skills across heavy earthmoving equipment, auxiliary plant, and light vehicles.
• Work Monday to Friday with occasional overtime.
• Demonstrate self-motivation and autonomous work ethic.

About the role

McCosker are inviting applications for an experiencedTruck Mechanic to join our team in Gladstone.

In this role you’ll be responsible for maintenance and repairs on a diverse fleet of small to medium trucks, with opportunities to expand your skillset across our heavy earthmoving equipment, auxiliary plant, and light vehicles.

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Current C class Queensland licence (minimum), HR Licence or above is desirable
• Knowledge with Mack, Isuzu, Hino trucks, floats and trailers.

• Confidence in identifying and communicating defects
• A proven track record of accurate, high-quality workmanship
• Self-Motivation and the ability to work autonomously
• Strong safety focus
• Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical including functional assessment and drug and alcohol screening.
