Job summary

Team Global Express, an Australian-owned transport and logistics provider, is seeking a Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic in Mackay for a full-time permanent role.

The role involves servicing Mercedes, Kenworth, Volvo, Isuzu, Fuso, Hino and Freightliner vehicles, performing diagnostics and repairs, and working with advanced diagnostic equipment in a supportive workshop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic (III).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Diagnostics experience and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Complete general servicing tasks on heavy vehicles.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain diesel systems, auto electrical, air conditioning and hydraulic components.
• Work with top-line diagnostic equipment in a modern workshop.
• Maintain safety and quality while meeting deadlines.

About The Role

• Team Global Express is seeking a Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic in Mackay
• This is a Full Time Permanent Position
• The successful applicant will also be eligible for a weekly Tool Allowance & Laundry Allowance
• Complete general servicing tasks on Heavy Vehicles. The types of vehicles the team services include Mercedes Benz, Kenworth, Volvo, Isuzu, Fuso, Hino and Freightliner.
• Diagnostics, repair and maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, diesel systems, auto electrical, air conditioning and hydraulic repairs in accordance with requirements detailed on job cards
• Supportive and collaborative management to ensure you are supported at all times
• Fully Supplied PPE
• Work at a Modern workshop with top of the line diagnostic equipment
• Develop your career with a variety of training and development options, both in house and through our suppliers

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in a similar role
• Possess a Trade Qualification as a Heavy vehicle Diesel Mechanic minimum certificate (III)
• Demonstrated ability working within a fast-paced environment
• Previous diagnostic investigation experience
• Be able to maintain a high degree of safety and in-line with HSE policies + procedures
• Be able to maintain quality and urgency in your work
