Job summary

Synergy is an agile company delivering innovative solutions in civil construction, demolition and environmental remediation. We are expanding our team with an HR/MR Truck Driver / Yard Person, reporting to the Asset Manager and coordinating with Project Managers.

The role alternates between transporting poly tanks across NSW/QLD and yard duties. Requires licences, safety focus, and willingness to travel overnight. Physical work is required.

Qualifications

• HR/MR Driver’s licence with driving record from Service NSW.
• Yard duties when not driving the truck.
• Knowledge of NHVR regulations and Chain of Responsibility.
• Telehandler licence is required.
• Front end loader licence preferred.
• Experience transporting large poly water tanks is a plus.
• Experience in civil construction or similar is preferred.
• Current General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Able to be away overnight.
• Willingness to pass Pre-Employment medical including drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Transport poly tanks and project equipment across NSW/QLD sites.
• Work as yard person when trucks are idle, in the company yard.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Asset Manager.
• Maintain safety standards and health and safety culture.

Job description

We are currently looking to expand our team with a positive, driven and experienced HR/MR Truck Driver / Yard Person. This position reports directly to the Asset Manager and will be liaising with the Project Managers. The role will be responsible for the transportation of poly tanks and other project equipment throughout multiples sites around NSW and QLD. When the truck is not in use, you will be required to work as a yard person in the company yard. This role will be split between both truck driving and working from our company yard. It will not be full time truck driving. Physical work is required.

Skills Required

• HR/MR Drivers licence and Driver’s license required along with driving record from Service NSW to be supplied
• To be a yards person as needed when not driving the truck
• Sound knowledge and experience dealing with all NHVR regulations and Chain of Responsibility
• A telehandler licence is required
• Front end loader licence is preferred
• Experience transporting large poly water tanks preferred but not essential
• A prior knowledge of excess dimensional transport is advantageous, full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
• Working with the teams loading/unloading trucks
• Ideally have previous experience in civil construction or similar
• A current General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Ability to be away over night
• The ability to undertake and pass a Pre Employment medical that includes a Drug and Alcohol test.
