JJ’s Waste & Recycling in Moruya is seeking an HR Truck Driver / Waste Operator to join a stable, permanent team. You’ll drive a modern collection vehicle, perform bin deliveries and yard work, and operate a forklift with on-site workshop support.

Shifts begin early (around 4am–6am). The role offers full-time hours, overtime, bonuses, and the chance to grow within Australia’s largest family‑owned waste company that values safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Hold a current HR licence and Forklift ticket.
• Experience with Rear Lift, Crane, Hook Lift, Side Lift or Front Lift is preferred, but full training will be provided.
• Early start shifts around 4am–6am; reliable and punctual.
• Able to follow a driver run sheet and adapt on the go.
• Physically capable for regular manual handling including loading/unloading bins.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join JJ’s as an HR Truck Driver / Waste Operator based out of our Moruya depot, serving the local area.

You’ll be behind the wheel of our safe, modern, and well-maintained waste collection vehicle - supported by on-site workshops and our bespoke in truck technologies.

This role combines waste collection, bin deliveries and preparation, plus yard maintenance (including operating a forklift).

As we are an essential service provider, you will benefit from a stable and permanent role, regular hours with the opportunity for overtime, attractive pay rates, and bonuses.

ABOUT YOU

• Hold a current HR licence and Forklift ticket
• Experience with Rear Lift, Crane, Hook Lift, Side Lift, or Front Lift trucks is preferred (however, full training will be provided)
• An early riser - with shifts commencing around 4am-6am
• Reliable and punctual - you show up on time, ready to get the job done
• Able to follow a driver run sheet, but flexible and resourceful enough to adapt on the go
• Physically capable and enough strength to engage in regular manual handling, including loading and unloading bins
• Professional and approachable - the friendly face of JJs to our customers and a team player
• Safety-conscious and committed to following all policies and procedures
• Willing to complete a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test
• Able to provide a 5-year traffic history at the interview
