Job summary

JJ’s Waste & Recycling in Stapylton, QLD is seeking a Medical Waste Service Technician / Driver to service local schools, aged care and businesses. You’ll work 6.00am–2.00pm, Monday to Friday, with an hourly rate plus super and MR Licence required.

You’ll stay active, deliver essential hygiene services, and ensure safe, compliant waste handling. You’ll join Australia’s largest family-owned waste company, backed by in-house mechanics and strong safety culture, with ongoing training and growth

Qualifications

• MR Licence essential, HR Licence desirable.
• Experience in waste collection or driving a commercial vehicle is beneficial.
• Comfort with active, physical field work and customer interaction is expected.

• Carry out regular clinical waste collections safely and professionally.
• Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with clients.
• Assist autoclave operations to process medical waste before disposal.

About the Role

Location: Stapylton, QLD

Pay Rate: Hourly Rate + Super

Licence(s): MR Licence Required

Shifts commencing: 6.00am – 2.00pm

Workdays: Monday to Friday

What You’ll Do

Join JJs as a Medical Waste Service Technician / Driver servicing the local area. Stay active, meet great people, and make a real difference. You’ll service essential hygiene products across schools, aged care, childcare centres and businesses delivering outstanding customer service while helping facilities maintain clean, hygienic and compliant environments.

You’ll be on the road, behind the wheel of our safe and modern, vehicles completing scheduled sanitation services for our customers across the region.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Complete regular and scheduled Clinical Waste Collections services safely, cleanly and professionally.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships
• Assist autoclave operations to process medical waste prior to disposal
• Always follow strict health and safety procedures

What You’ll Bring

• A strong work ethic with a reputation for being reliable, punctual, and ready to get the job done.
• A comfort with hands-on active work and physical capability, including frequently getting in and out of the vehicle, loading and unloading bins, climbing stairs.
• A positive, professional attitude and a customer-focused approach, with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
• A genuine commitment to safety and compliance with workplace policies and procedures.

What You’ll Need

• Undertake a company pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.
• MR Licence Essential, HR Licence Desirable
• Sound knowledge of Brisbane and Outer Metro areas.
• Provide a five-year traffic history at interview.
