Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Sydney's NSW is seeking a dedicated Heavy Vehicle Operator to support asphalt and civil operations from our Eastern Creek depot.

You will operate a 10-wheeler rigid truck, perform pre-starts, ensure safety checks, and coordinate with site teams to meet production targets. A current HR licence, HVNL/CoR awareness and willingness to work a rotating roster are essential; training and career development are available.

Qualifications

  • Current HR licence required.
  • Solid understanding of HVNL, fatigue management, load restraint, and CoR requirements.
  • Willingness to rotate day, night and weekend shifts.
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card) or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience driving rigid trucks in quarry, asphalt, civil, construction, or related environments.
  • Reliable, safety-focused and a team player.

Responsibilities

  • Operate rigid trucks, primarily a 10 wheeler Flocon, across asphalt, civil and quarry sites.
  • Carry out pre-starts, vehicle inspections and safety checks.
  • Transport materials safely between plants, quarries and worksites.
  • Collaborate with site teams and supervisors to meet operational needs.
  • Rotate shifts to support operations.
  • Follow site procedures, safety requirements, and traffic management plans.
  • Maintain HVNL and Chain of Responsibility obligations.

Day to day you will:
  • Operating Rigid trucks, primarily a 10 wheeler Flocon, across asphalt, civil and quarry sites
  • Carry out pre-starts, vehicle inspections and safety checks
  • Transporting materials safely and efficiently between plants, quarries and work sites
  • Work closely with site teams and supervisors to meet operational requirements
  • Working rotational shifts to support operational requirements
  • Following site procedures, safety requirements, and traffic management plans
  • Maintain high standards of safety, compliance and presentation including HVNL and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations
How you'll connect to the role?
  • Current HR licence

  • Confidence using electronic telematic and fleet management systems
  • Reliable and professional approach to work with a strong commitment to safety

  • Experience driving rigid trucks in quarry, asphalt, civil, construction, or related environments
  • Willingness to learn, undertake further training and develop within the business
