Job summary

Australia Post is seeking an HR Truck Driver to deliver for the community, connecting businesses with customers and ensuring safe, timely pickups and deliveries. The role involves night shifts with a 30% penalty rate and a six-month secondment, operating from operational centres and on residential routes.

You will load and unload parcels, perform safety checks, and drive modern trucks between centres and customers, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and community service.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant HR vehicle licence.
• Be safety-focused and understand the importance of the chain of responsibility.
• Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills.
• Be fit enough to load and unload parcels of all shapes, sizes and weights.
• Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a driving assessment, pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and nationally coordinated criminal history checks.

About the opportunity

Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic red trucks to deliver for customers? As our HR Truck Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!

This role is offered initially on a six month secondment basis with ournight shift teamworking on a rotating shift starting between 8.30pm and 11.30pm. This role attracts a 30% penalty rate.

You’ll be

• Safely loading your truck with cages for delivery.
