Australia Post in Fyshwick, ACT is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver to deliver for customers in the local community with our iconic red trucks. You’ll be the face of our trusted business, driving between operational centres and customers to ensure timely deliveries and pickups while upholding safety and quality standards.

About the opportunity

Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic red trucks to deliver for customers? As our Heavy Vehicle Truck Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!

You’ll be

• Safely loading your truck with cages for delivery.


• Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.


• Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres and customers, for deliveries and pick-ups.


• Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups.

About you

You’re a friendly, enthusiastic and reliable personality, who loves autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.

You’ll also need to

• Have full work rights - no restrictions)


• Hold a relevant heavy vehicle licence (HC or MC license)


• Be safety-focused and understand the importance of the chain of responsibility.


• Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills.


• Be fit enough to load and unload parcels of all different shapes, sizes and weights.


• Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national police checks.
