Job summary

Australia Post’s Gold Coast Parcel Facility is seeking a reliable Van Driver to deliver parcels on a daily route. This permanent full-time role covers Monday to Friday, using a manual transmission van and supporting the local community.

You will complete safety checks, scan packages, and load the van while engaging with customers. A MR license and good fitness are required; forklift licence is advantageous with opportunities for growth within the network.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels to customers on daily routes.

Working Monday to Friday in this permanent full-time role, you’ll be using your mastery of manual transmission to get to each drop. Whether it's completing your daily safety check or scanning and manually packing loose loads into your Van, one thing's for sure - safety will be front of mind, no matter what. And you’re the sort of person who sees interacting with our customers throughout the day as one of the perks of the job.

You’ll need

• To use scanners (training available).
• Strong fitness level to be comfortable loading your van, jumping in and out of your van all day and unloading at each drop.
• Ability to lift from 1kg to 30kg - we assess this at a medical check before you start to ensure you’re safe on the job.
• To be safety focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility.
• Have a customer service mindset with effective communication skills.
• Good planning and organizational skills and basic numerical skills.
• Medium Rigid (MR) license with multi drop experience - advantageous.
• Forklift licence (LF) - advantageous.
