Job summary

Qube in Brisbane is seeking a casual driver to transport bulk goods and raw materials within the greater Brisbane area. This role operates from the Port of Brisbane and reports to the Operations Manager, requiring safe, reliable, and proactive delivery performance.

Ideal candidates will have a Heavy Combination (HC) licence, experience with bulk vehicles, and strong safety and regulatory knowledge. This is a casual, on-site position with opportunities for training and progression within Qube’s

Qualifications

• HC Australian Driver's Licence is required.
• Experience driving heavy bulk vehicles and related machinery.
• Knowledge of Commonwealth/State safety, environmental legislation and heavy vehicle permitting.

Responsibilities

• Operate site vehicles efficiently.
• Liaise with Operations team on product delivery.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Ensure timely and safe deliveries.
• Complete cartage dockets and service paperwork.
• Maintain safety and comply with requirements.
• Prevent deficiencies in product delivery.
• Follow truck rules, route designations, and company policies.
• Care for vehicles and equipment under your responsibility.

About The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to transport bulk goods and bulk raw materials within the greater Brisbane area. Our Brisbane Bulk Facility Operations currently undertakes a range of activities with a need for transportation across the greater Brisbane area. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role requires an experienced driver with strong communication skills to pick up and deliver cargo in a safe and productive manner. This position is a casual role based out of Port of Brisbane.

Our Brisbane Bulk Facility Operations currently undertakes a range of activities with a need for transportation across the greater Brisbane area. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role requires an experienced driver with strong communication skills to pick up and deliver cargo in a safe and productive manner. This position is a casual role based out of Port of Brisbane.

Specific Responsibilities

• Efficient operation of the site’s vehicles
• Liaise with the Operations team in relation to product delivery
• Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
• Ensure all product is delivered in a timely and safe manner
• Complete all necessary associated documentation (such as the preparation and signing of cartage dockets and service requests)
• Have a strong commitment to safety and comply with all safety requirements
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of deficiencies in the delivery of product
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as all company policies and procedures
• Take good care of vehicles / plant under your care

Essential Skills & Experience

• Heavy-Combination (HC) Australian Driver's License
• Experience in driving heavy bulk vehicles and other machinery as used by Qube
• Knowledge and understanding of applicable Commonwealth/State Safety and Environmental legislation and standards, Main Road Heavy vehicle legislation and permitting standards
• Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
• Ability to work well within a small team environment

• Good driving skills for heavy haulage trucks
• Good skills in operating other equipment used by Qube
