Job summary

Qube Holdings is seeking a Forklift Operator to support the White Bay Terminal in Sydney during seasonal demand, ensuring safe, efficient handling of operations for passenger vessels. You will operate forklifts on the wharf and in receivals/deliveries, supporting vessel movements and port logistics.

The role requires a current high-risk forklift licence, knowledge of manual handling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence required, high-risk operator status confirmed.
• Understanding of manual handling techniques and safety.
• Minimum 12 months forklift experience in operations.
• Capable of confined-space driving and precise handling.
• Ability to follow instructions quickly in a busy port environment.
• Demonstrated teamwork with ability to work autonomously when needed.
• Proven reliability supported by a reputable reference.
• Safety is a top priority in all tasks and routines.
• Must pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
• Must pass ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

Job description

The primary role of Supplementary Stevedores at White Bay Terminal is to support the safe and efficient operation of passenger vessels in Sydney during seasonal demand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operating a Forklift (1.8 Tonne and 2.5 tonne Counter Balance)
• Forklift Driving may be performed in R&D (Receivals and Deliveries) and during vessel operations (on the wharf)
• Operate plant and equipment as per standard operating procedures (SOP's) or as directed by management
• Follow all company policies including, but not limited to, Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Forklift operator – must have current high risk forklift licence
• Knowledge and experience of Manual handling techniques
• Previous experience on a Forklift (Minimum 12 Months)
• Ability to drive in confined spacesAbility to follow instructions in a fast pace environment
• Ability to work in a team and work autonomously
• Proven reliability - we need team players who can 100% commit to the role (this will also need to be backed up by a reputable reference)
• Place safety as a top priority
• Pass a pre-employment medical
• Pass a pre-employment (and during employment) Drug & Alcohol Test
