Job summary

Bathurst Regional Council – Works section is seeking a Truck Driver to operate a truck for road construction and maintenance tasks in the Bathurst region. The role requires practical truck operation experience and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Applicants must hold NSW Class MR (or higher) licence, White Card, and have experience with trucks up to 10,000kg GVM, basic mechanical knowledge, chainsaw competency, and ability to perform physical labour with good numeracy and literacy.

Job description

Bathurst Regional Council currently has an opportunityfor someone to join the Works section as aTruck Driver. In this role you will be required to drive the truck for one of the urban gangs and undertake duties associated with road construction and general maintenance activities.

To be successful in this role you will hold a currentNSW Class MR Driver’s Licence, as a minimum, have experience driving trucks up to 10,000kg GVM, and knowledge and experience in basic mechanical and maintenance principles of trucks. Experience using a chainsaw and drainage maintenance are also key requirements.

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.

Salary: $1,118.30 to $1,175.00 per week + super

Position Status: Permanent Full-time

Hours of work: 38 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.00am - 3.57pm with 30min lunch and an RDO every two (2) weeks
