Bathurst Regional Council is seeking a Bitumen Maintenance Ganger to lead bitumen patching and road maintenance across the rural Bathurst region. You will supervise crews, coordinate works and uphold safety and quality on site.
Essentially you must hold NSW HR (minimum) with White Card and Traffic Controller training, plus experience with bitumen products and road works. The council offers a permanent full-time role, rostered days off, generous leave, training and confidential support services.
As Bitumen Maintenance Ganger you will be required to undertake and be responsible for bitumen patching duties associated with Council’s road construction and maintenance activities within the rural areas of the Bathurst region.
You will hold a current NSW Class MR Driver’s Licence, as a minimum (HR would be desirable), and have knowledge and experience in the operation of minor plant associated with road construction and maintenance particularly bitumen related activities. Experience with bitumen products whilst working in the road maintenance and construction industry are also key requirements.

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.
Salary: $1,237.70 to $1,300.25 per week + super
Position Status: Permanent full-time
Hours of work: 38 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.00am to 3.57pm with an RDO every second week - Required to be available for periodic weekend on-call roster
